Before the onset of Covid-19, Sean Lee-Davies led a group of celebrities, impact investors and artists up Africa’s tallest peak to raise funds for biodiversity protection. Already battered by altitude sickness and record downpours, the climb up Kilimanjaro proved much harder than they initially imagined.
Documenting the second half of the trip, this vlog follows the team as they spend the last few days battling through a blizzard. As they reach the summit, Lee-Davies says the final climb “feels like the longest of our lives”. “We were grasping for any last bit of energy and gasping for air,” he adds. “And then we saw it: the summit.” Watch the video to see the full climb.
